My blogging hiatus

Nothing relaxes me quite like the beauty of the great outdoors.

As some of you may have noticed, I took a hiatus from blogging last week.  It wasn’t really planned, it just kindof happened.  My nephews were in town for the week, life had been very busy for a while, and I was feeling overwhelmed with everything on my plate.  Blogging just didn’t make the cut for the week, but now I’m feeling more rejuvenated and ready to give you an update on what I’ve been up to. Live the Life You Want

Occasionally, in the middle of blogging, working, seeing clients for my externship, and sleeping, I have time to read an article or two from someone else’s blog.  One blog that I sometimes frequent is “Well”, a health and wellness blog that’s part of the New York Times.  It’s a good way to keep up with some of the health topics that mainstream media is talking about, and I enjoy the variety of subjects they cover.  The other day I saw the post “Overcoming a Heart Condition to Win Olympic Gold”, and my intereste was immediately piqued. Homemade Laundry Detergent

My new homemade laundry detergent.

As you may have figured out by now, I’m a pretty frugal person.  If I can make a product at home and save money while not including any strange chemicals, I’m all about it.  I make my own lotion, lip balm, shampoo, hand soap, and body scrub, but one thing that had so far evaded me was laundry detergent.   Continue reading
